RAPHAEL WARNOCK

The Democratic South runs through Senator Raphael Warnock, and for good reason.

Through multiple general elections, Pastor Warnock has broken through a longtime Republican stronghold to win in Georgia, paving the way for the new Democratic coalition in the US Senate.

Warnock is the first African-American to ever represent Georgia in the Senate. Democratic Senate control today does not happen without him.

“I often say that a vote is a kind of prayer for the world we desire for ourselves and for our children.”
Senator Raphael Warnock

Sen. Warnock fits the mold of winning Democratic coalitions for the future. By connecting his faith to Democratic principles, Warnock led sit-ins in Georgia to peacefully encourage better healthcare access and expand Medicaid.

In his first speech in the US Senate, he spoke boldly in support of the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. Today, he continues to lead on the key Democratic principles that unite Georgia and the country.
